Speaking of Tim Bray, he provides an interesting and fresh analysis of that tune everyone knows, "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck et. al.
And I'm also very fond of the very different "Blankest Year" by Nada Surf, which I discovered via Tower of Song. (Beware, if you download it, the first line is rather rude, but in the best way.)
