Happy birthday to me from podcasters, and to Canada from my band

Mark Blevis of the Canadian Podcast Buffet just emailed me an audio file, a happy birthday message (I turn 38 tomorrow) from podcasters all over the place. Holy crap. Thanks everybody, I’m stunned.

Speaking of birthdays, Sunday is Canada Day, and if you're looking for something to do in Vancouver in the morning, my band The Neurotics will be playing near the start/finish line of the HBC Run for Canada down at Coal Harbour. We play from 9 a.m. till noon.

Glad it was a surprise and glad it made your day! Hope it's a happy one.

I am so sorry to hear about this, Derek. We haven't seen each other in years but I wish you all the best possible luck going forward. Please give my best to your parents and family.

I'm going to tell my wife, Sheila (whom you've never met or probably even heard of), about you and get her to read your blog. She lost her mom to cancer last year. Keep fighting. From reading your website, you have done amazing things with your life and deeply affected those around you. I hope you stick around.

If there is ever anything I can do for you or your family, please let me know.

Happy Birthday!! (it is now 1:56am, so I think I'm on the right date)

Have fun at the Coal Harbour gig - nice way to spend a birthday! Waterpolo keeps me away, though I DO miss dancing to the Neurotics and The Flu... hm.. bet y'all would be fun to hoop to, too!
