If there’s a formula to the songs I release on the Penmachine Podcast, it’s this: a groovy drum loop, crunchy guitars, tubby bass, and gritty Hammond organ. “A Pizza Without Time” (just over 4 minutes, 4.9 MB MP3 file) fits the bill, and I wrote it as a theme tune for Lucian’s Podsafe Music TV show at podsafemusic.tv, which will feature independent podsafe music videos. The title comes from some poorly translated Japanese (which I may have misheard) that was unearthed by my old friend Richard Campbell on the “Mondays” podcast, on which he regularly appears, and that I subscribe to.
And guess what? Lucian even made a video for it.
