Spidermen

I love this recently discovered photograph (via Kottke) of painters on the Brooklyn Bridge by Eugene de Salignac. It's almost like a Dali painting.

Hi Derek

These old photos are pretty amazing, especially when you consider the equipment, papers and chemicals the photographers of the day had to contend with. I'm always fascinated by these photos. I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and I'm returning to good old Ilford FP4 and HP5 film for a while, to hone my photographic skills, rather than my picture-taking skills.

One photo in this group is https://www.smithsonianmag.com/issues/2007/september/indelible.php?page=popup&image=8, which I really like (lighting / contrast / detail) - amazing.

Cheers
